Hamish Campion
Managing Director
I’m a Managing Director with experience in transport engineering and environmental services. I’ve been closely involved in building and leading our businesses over the years, including growing and ultimately selling a vegetation management company.
My focus now is on developing and growing Staunch. I work closely with our team to strengthen our products, processes, and customer relationships so we can continue to deliver practical, reliable solutions that reduce fleet maintenance costs and improve safety for our clients.
I remain hands-on in sales and business development, ensuring we keep improving and building a strong future for our company, our people, and our clients.
Arun Gopinathan
Supply Chain Manager
I have over 14 years of experience in procurement and supply chain across marine and oil & gas (Singapore) and transport engineering/manufacturing in New Zealand.
Currently, I’m a Supply Chain Manager at Staunch, managing procurement, forecasting, supplier relationships, and production for light and heavy transport equipment.
I’m driven by solving complex challenges, improving processes, and delivering value through efficient supply chains.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family, volunteering, and continuous learning.
Kelly Hynd
Executive Assistant
With over 30 years’ experience across corporate and not-for-profit sectors, I bring a broad and practical perspective to my role as an Executive Assistant. I started my career in recruitment, which gave me a strong grounding in people and how organisations grow and succeed.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with executive teams and Boards, support a wide range of projects and events, and contribute to business growth in different ways. I’ve also developed a training arm within a business and implemented graduate programmes, which I found especially rewarding in building capability and supporting future talent.
I’m motivated by working alongside teams to help things run smoothly and to support meaningful progress. Being part of a close-knit team at Staunch and seeing what we can achieve together is something I genuinely value.
Outside of work, I enjoy renovating an old villa, collecting antiques, and spending time with family and friends.
Selwyn Stewart
Sales Account Manager
I have spent most of my working career in sales within the construction sector, building strong industry knowledge and long-term relationships along the way. My background includes working in height access solutions, as well as construction adhesives and chemicals, where I developed a solid understanding of the challenges customers face on-site and the importance of providing reliable, practical solutions.
In my current role, I manage sales and account relationships for Staunch’s light transport division. The role involves working closely with customers to understand their operational needs, recommending the right transport solutions, and ensuring they receive a high level of service and support throughout the process. I enjoy the fast-paced nature of the industry and the opportunity to work with a wide range of people across different sectors.
What drives me most in my work is building genuine relationships and helping customers find solutions that make a real difference to their business. I take pride in delivering a positive experience and enjoy seeing customers confident in the products and services we provide. For me, success comes from creating trust, understanding customer needs, and consistently delivering value.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time outdoors with my family. Whether it’s heading to the beach for a BBQ, going fishing, or simply making the most of the outdoors together, I value the balance that family time and the New Zealand lifestyle bring.
Scott Ricketts
Operations Manager
I’m an operations professional with over 40 years of experience across a mix of industries, including construction materials, steel buildings, timber, and dairy/food. I’ve spent a big part of my career leading multi-site operations and managing large teams. My strengths are in planning, logistics, and working closely with suppliers to keep things running smoothly. I’m also really focused on continuous improvement, using LEAN and Just-in-Time approaches to drive better results.
My role is to make sure production runs smoothly, targets are hit, and the team has what they need to deliver quality work. It also covers planning, scheduling, quality control, and driving continuous improvement so everything stays efficient, on time, and within budget.
I’m driven by getting results and seeing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. I enjoy building strong teams, coaching people, and creating a culture where everyone knows their role and takes ownership. Continuous improvement is a big motivator for me—finding better ways to reduce waste, improve processes, and deliver real business gains. I also take a lot of pride in planning ahead, solving problems, and making sure both the team and the business succeed.
Outside of work, I enjoy getting out fishing on the Kaipara Harbour and making the most of a bit of downtime on the water. I also keep busy maintaining a lifestyle block, which I find really rewarding and a great change of pace. Family is a big focus for me—I’ve moved back from Australia to help support an elderly family member and keep them independent. I still regularly travel back to Australia to spend time with my kids and stay connected.
George Macintyre
Technical Designer
I’m currently completing my engineering degree while working with the team at Staunch Group, where I’m gaining practical experience across transport engineering and fabrication. I’ve always had a strong interest in how things work and enjoy being involved in hands-on problem solving, design, and building practical solutions that are fit for purpose.
Outside of work and study, I’m passionate about classic cars and rallying, and I enjoy anything motorsport-related. I also enjoy cricket and golf, and spending time around good people with similar interests.
I’m driven by learning, continuous improvement, and being part of a team that takes pride in quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and delivering reliable products that perform in the real world.
Samuel Robinson
Sales Accounts Manager
I am currently working as a Sales Accounts Manager, where I focus on building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. My role involves a mix of account management, business development, and ensuring a high level of service across all interactions.
Prior to moving into sales, I worked as an Operations Manager, where I gained valuable experience leading teams, managing workflows, and improving operational efficiency. I come from a strong trade background, being qualified in both heavy and light fabrication, with additional advanced trade qualifications. My experience spans heavy and sheet metal fabrication, giving me a solid technical foundation that I bring into my current role.
I’m driven by achieving results, building long-term partnerships, and continuously improving both personally and professionally. Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, camping, and spending quality time with my family.
Josie Turley
Financial Controller
With extensive experience across manufacturing and importing businesses, I have built my career in finance by combining strong commercial understanding with a practical, hands-on approach to improving business performance.
As Financial Controller, my role extends well beyond the numbers — I work closely with each business unit, particularly Operations, to analyse performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure our processes support efficiency, productivity, and sustainable growth.
I am passionate about creating finance systems and processes that are seamless and user-friendly, with the goal of making finance as painless as possible for the wider team. I believe the best finance function is one that removes obstacles, supports smarter decision-making, and enables people to focus on what they do best.
A key part of my role is maintaining financial discipline across the business. I keep a close watch on expenditure and am known for balancing commercial thinking with accountability — which sometimes means I have to rein in unnecessary spending ideas to ensure we remain focused on value and long-term outcomes!
I thrive in fast-paced environments where continuous improvement is encouraged, and I enjoy working collaboratively across teams to drive operational excellence and stronger business performance.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, netball, vegetable gardening, travelling, and meeting new people.
I value building genuine connections both professionally and personally, and I bring that same people-focused approach into the workplace every day.
